Substitute Teacher

The interior island of Po Yang lake is a beautiful place that is far from city. Because of the inconvenience of the transportation, the living condition there is rather poor. One day, a Shanghai girl, Gu Xiaolin, comes there to visit Ms Liu, a teacher who dedicates her life to this poor area. Actually, Gu comes there to condole his ex-boyfriend, Liu's son. At the beginning, Gu takes the place of Liu to teach students, there temporarily, because Liu has been sick since her son is dead. Gradually, Gu begins to unerstand why Liu has been teaching here for more than 30 years, why her ex-bofriend left city and came here. She also realise that how eagerly the children here need teachers. Finally, she decides to stay and to be a country teacher...
