Blood Ties

On the 7th night of his death, Shun's spirit returns to possess his little sister Qing to exact revenge on those who brutally murdered him and his beloved wife. This is a thriller set in a supernatural context, with characters caught in a web of love, betrayal, and revenge. This tale of vengeance starts with Qing, already possessed, trying to enlist the help of his ex-colleague to seek his revenge. The whole story unfolds in the course of one night, as we see how a little girl possessed by a man, hunts down his killers one by one. Featuring internationally recognized Hong Kong veteran actors - Kenneth Tsang (Memoirs of a Geisha) and Cheng Pei Pei (Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon), local actor David Leong (Painted Skin) and talented new actress Joey Leong, Blood Ties is Chai Yee Wei’s directorial feature debut. Blood Ties is based on a short film of the same name that was also directed and written by Yee Wei. Blood Ties will be the first film to be completed and released in the theatres that is funded by the Singapore Film Commission’s Feature Film Fund.
