Banquet At Hongmen

Banquet at Hongmen is a re-enactment of the most fascinating Chinese historical legend. Mainland famous actor Wu Jun stars as an ancient Conqueror while this historical figure's loyal concubine is played by the Hong Kong beauty Kristy Yang. Actors playing the leader in the rivaling camp is no less captivating - the film features Xiao Rong Sheng and Jacklyn Wu Chien Lien as King and Queen. The Conqueror of West Chu defeated the King of Han in a fierce battle and his staff advises him to get rid of this competitor once and for all. The Conqueror therefore invites the King of Han to join a Banquet at Hongmen, with assassins ambushing there... State-of-the-art technology is employed to visualize one of the greatest political conspiracies in Chinese history! The forces of Bang attacked and occupied Xianyang which was capital of Qin dynasty. Lu Zhi, Bang's wife and him were complacent and ambitious for dominating the whole country. Learning this, Xiang swang back immediately to Xianyang and stationed a large number of troops out of Hangu Gate. He buried 200 thousand Qin soliders which frightened all and made himself Xi Chu overlord. Adviser Fan Zeng suggested Xiang banqueting Liu Bang at Hongmen to wipe out him. Otherwise, Bang accepted his wise counsellor Zhang Liang's recommendation evacuating Xiangyang with nothing to take with. Knowing it's extremely dangerous at Hongmen, Bang forced himself to come for the chance of life. By his fair words, wit and shredness, also with help of Zhang Liang's former friend Xiang Bo, Liu Bang eventually slipped the collar.
